Matarbari Power Plant, Bangladesh

The Matarbari project in Bangladesh is a 1,200-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station located in the Cox's Bazar area of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is part of Bangladesh's plan to build the Maheshkhali peninsula into an "energy island". The project was constructed with a US$4.5 billion investment from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and implemented by the Bangladesh Ministry of Roads and Highways. The power generation of the completed power plant is expected to account for 10% of Bangladesh's total power generation. The Matarbari coal-fired power plant project in Bangladesh undertaken by our company adopts the deep cement mixing pile (DCM) construction method for power plant road foundation treatment. The minimum processing depth is 4.5m, and the maximum processing depth is 16m. The project lasted 3 years and 5 months, and a total of approximately 2.16 million cubic meters of cement mixing piles were completed. The foundation effect after treatment by our company is excellent, and the on-site coring integrity rate reaches 100%, which has been well received by the owner.
